Ski Boat Driver Certification

We are a British Water Ski & Wakeboard (BWS&W) approved ski boat driver certification centre and offer assessment of ski boat driving ability. In order to complete the assessment you will need to be a member of British Water Ski & Wakeboard and once certified will require annual renewal of BWS&W membership to maintain your licence.

It is expected that participants are already familiar with handling of a ski boat. We provide assessment of ski boat handling ability and not boat driving training as part of the assessment. If time in the seat is required this may be provided upon request at additional cost.

Driving for a water skier or Wakeboarder is a critical element of both the skier’s enjoyment, success and continued development, 75% of a successful ski set is down to the competence of the driver. The BWSW Ski Boat Drivers Award level 3 is designed to enhance the drivers ability when driving with a pylon, boom set up, course work re Slalom and understanding of the Perfect Pass and Zero-off systems. Additionally further modules are also available in respect of driving for the Tournament disciplines and inflatables.
